Like many scientists, I’m deeply worried about tipping points in our climate system - rapid changes that could bring massive shocks to human civilization - not 100 years from now, but at any point from now. Here’s a video I helped make ages ago that explains these types of threats:
We’ve made much progress on climate change since I did this video, but the science is now painting an even worse picture of the threats we’re facing and how soon we could face them, and in the US and Europe the politics has moved against climate action right when we need it most. So what do we do now to avoid the unimaginable?
