Interview: A New Approach to Save Us from Climate Catastrophe

Like many scientists, I’m deeply worried about tipping points and destabilizing feedback loops in our climate system - rapid changes that could bring massive shocks to human civilization - not 100 years from now, but at any point from now. Don't miss the interview below that I did recently with Christiana Figueres on this, but first here’s an excerpt from a film I was interviewed for ages ago that explains a few of these types of threats:

We’ve made much progress on climate change since I did the video above, but the science is now painting an even worse picture of the threats we're facing, and in the US and Europe the politics has moved against climate action right when we need it most. So what do we do now to avoid the unimaginable?


Christiana Figueres is like the Pope of climate, and I have huge respect for her - she led the UN convention on climate change and successfully negotiated the Paris Climate Accord.
